Research Interests

I am a neuroscientist interested in the recovery of function after peripheral nerve injury. I am particularly interested in how exercise modulates the expression of neurotrophins in a sex dependent manner. My studies explore the contributions that sex hormones make in the regeneration process and how those hormones interact with neurotrophins to guide axon regeneration after nerve injury.
