Dr. James B. Hittner received his B.S. degree in psychology from Ohio State University and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University. After earning his Ph.D. in 1993, Dr. Hittner completed a two-year fellowship in alcohol treatment and early intervention research at Brown University's Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies. Dr. Hittner's research interests include substance abuse and HIV-risky sexual behavior, cognitive and personality correlates of substance abuse, and personality, stress and coping. Dr. Hittner also conducts research in the areas of applied statistical methodology and statistical software development.
